February 28 (Wed) 7:00pm Bravo Transitions and SQL/HAF Safety Operating Procedures

Event Date:
Wednesday, February 28, 2018 - 7:00pm

In the spirit of aviation’s goal of zero accidents and incursions, Davi Howard will discuss general airport safety, runway incursions and operating procedures at San Carlos and Half Moon Bay airports. Since these airports serve as common training airports, this will be a great opportunity to learn for all levels of airmen.

With the growing population and its subsequent encroachment near airports, the impact to the surrounding community is more important than ever.  Davi will discuss noise abatement procedures and how these hope to benefit all.

Lastly, he will speak about how to properly fly the Bravo transition and other general ATC questions since KSQL and KHAF lie under the shelf of KSFO Bravo,.

Davi Howard is a dynamic speaker and being a controller and a pilot, he will bring some great perspectives to this seminar

Davi Howard currently works with San Mateo County Airports as the Airport Communications Specialist. He spent 36 years as an Air Traffic Controller (10 years in the U.S. Air Force and 26 years working for the FAA: 6 years here at SQL, 3 years at SJC and 17 years at SFO). Davi holds a single engine land Private Pilot’s Certificate.
